3. Guard your seed phrase.

To keep your funds safe, you should never share your seed phrase with anyone, just as you would never share your social security number or bank account password.

Your money is your money. But with great power comes great responsibility. Keeping your wallet secure is essential.

Luckily, Kryptik makes wallet security simple. Every account is protected by two factor authentication. To access your account, you must click a magic link sent to your email. This unlocks your wallet which is encrypted and stored on your local device.

You can also lock your wallet with a custom password. This adds an extra layer of encryption to your account. You will need this password whenever you decide to unlock your wallet. Kryptik does not store your password and cannot unlock your wallet without your permission.

Beyond two factor authentication and custom passwords, you should backup your secret phrase. Your secret phrase gives you access to your wallet on any device on any account. Never share your secret phrase with anybody else.


Protect Your Wallet


Swaps allow you to trade one token for another. This is useful for payments and a wide variety of financial applications. With Kryptik, swaps are easier than ever: a single interface allows you to trade 100s of tokens across multiple networks. Just choose your tokens and Kryptik will find the best price on a wide range of decentralized exchanges. You can even swap tokens from one blockchain to another! Search and select the tokens you would like to swap. Kryptik will automatically filter valid pairs.

Make sure everything looks right and swap! It may take up to ten minutes for your transaction to be confirmed.


Swap Tokens


With Kryptik, you can make a payment without going through a financial institution. This peer-to-peer setup makes payments fast and cheap. To make your first payment with Kryptik, follow the steps below.

1. Set the Amount

2. Add a Recipient

Your payment needs to go to someone! If the recipient also has a Kryptik wallet, you can enter their email. Otherwise, you can enter their public [address](./addresses) or ENS name.

3. Approve

Make sure everything looks right and send! It may take up to ten minutes for your transaction to be confirmed.


Payments


Instead of an arbitrary handle like _jack.dorsey_ that's managed by a company, your address is created and managed by you. Any action you perform on a blockchain, is tied to your address.

Anyone who knows your public address can see your transaction history and what assets you have inside of your wallet. They can also send things to your wallet without your permission, similar to how anyone with your email address can send you emails. Your address can look different depending on which network you are using. But with Kryptik, each address maps to the same wallet. ## Instructions

1. On the _connect page_, press the **import existing seed** button.

2. Enter your seedphrase below your email. Your email will be used for two factor authentication.

3. Click **create wallet**. You will then be asked to confirm your account.
